Important Information Regarding Water

For many years now, I’ve extolled the necessity of water for health and healing.
Some interesting facts about water are:
- Fundamental water is comprised of 2 hydrogen and 1 oxygen molecules
- Water is a solvent… and is commonly referred to as the “universal solvent”
- All water is recycled…We’re using the same water that’s been here for millenia
- The human body is comprised mostly of water, with certain critical parts needing more
- Our body cannot go very long without water
- Many people in this country today are dehydrated
For equally as many years, I have heard the debate over which of the various types of water available for human consumption is the best.
The human body primarily needs water for hydration. In this respect we are very similar to the lead acid battery used in your car. It will not function without hydration, and not just any hydration; the water must be of a certain quality, or in this case purity. Anything less will severely affect the performance and life of the battery… Very similar to the human body. Without hydration, the myriad of chemical processes cannot occur.
What types of water are available?
Basically there are four types available:
Pure (includes Distilled Water), Filtered, Conditioned, and Electronically Restructured Alkaline Water (both Filtered and Conditioned).
Pure water is described above as fundamental water. It is naturally available as rainwater. Unfortunately, in many cases, this becomes very contaminated, because it collects pollutants as it passes through the atmosphere. Mechanically it’s created by steam distillation. It is used wherever precise chemical formulations are necessary.
Filtered water is mechanically manipulated to remove undesirable elements. This runs the gamut from basic one cartridge filtration to exotic several stage units, such as Reverse Osmosis (RO). Generally, the more filtration the better. Single filter units are not adequate. The extent and type of filtration will determine the water quality, with RO units replicating the distillation process; but at a high price.
Conditioned water is simply water that is treated to change its naturally occurring mineral properties, such as a water softener. Conditioning water does not eliminate toxins or other extraneous matter.
Electronically Restructured Alkaline Water is water that has first been run through a filtration process to remove undesirable elements, and then run through an ionization chamber comprised of specially designed Titanium electrodes to separate the alkaline and acid molecules.
What type of water is best?
This is the heart of the matter, no pun intended. The human body needs constant hydration, and acidity added as a result of the type of water we drink is not helpful to your wellness.
For year’s we have heard that mineral water was good for us, which is partially true. It is good, except that most mineral waters are carbonated.
Carbon dioxide is what we are exhaling as a waste product. It is derived from carbonic acid which is what the body is trying to neutralize…so why would we purposefully put it in our body??? …..think of all those sodas that are consumed daily…
While distilled water provides the most cleansing medium, it can – over time- cause a depletion of critical alkaline minerals.
But why are these alkaline minerals so important?
After all, they are inorganic, which means they cannot be assimilated for nutritional purposes. The answer is that all minerals carry an electrical charge; and that charge is useful from an inorganic cleansing perspective. Toxins are positively charged, so acidic is another way of saying toxic.
When our bodies retain toxins, we become over acidic; the degree will determine your state of wellness…or disease.
Almost all of us are acidic, and are negatively affected by excess acidity. What does this mean?… and how is acidity measured?
The pH scale runs from 0 – pure acid, to 14 – pure alkaline. A solution is considered neutral if it registers 7 on the scale. Substances with less than 7 on the pH scale are acidic because they contain higher concentrations of H+ ions. Substances registering more than 7 on the pH scale are alkaline as they contain higher concentrations of OH-.
The pH scales is a logarithmic scale, so a change of one pH means a tenfold shift in the concentration of hydrogen ions.
pH 6 means you are 10 times more acidic than ph 7
pH 5 means you are 100 times more acidic than ph 7
Our human bodies are extremely sensitive to ph levels. The body maintains blood ph levels of between 7.38 to 7.41. Below or above this value creates traumatic consequences.
A blood pH of 6.9 can introduce coma and death. That is why all bodily functions are secondary in importance to the balancing of pH. Your body will willingly shut down digestion, alter temperature, rob your bones of calcium, deprive your pancreas, just to maintain adequate fluid buffers of alkalinity to balance the ‘acid tide’ we inflict upon ourselves through diet and stress etc.
Substances which serve as mechanisms to stabilize pH are called Buffers.
Buffers have the capacity to bond ions and remove them from solution whenever their concentration begins to rise. Conversely, buffers can release ions whenever their concentration begins to fall, thus helping to minimize the fluctuations in pH. This is an important function because many biochemical reactions normally occurring in living organisms either release or use up ions.
Imagine now what a load is taken off your body if its primary safety system of pH balancing can be ‘stood down’ from a continual ‘full alert’ – because you now are alkalizing your body through reducing stress, drinking adequate amounts of clean, healthy, ionized water, eating alkaline foods which are beneficial to your blood type, and avoiding harmful chemicals!
Where can we get this type of water?
Happily, we do not have to move to a mountaintop to have this source of water readily available. Over the past 50 years, Japanese researchers and scientists have studied and perfected machines to create such water. They are called Water Ionizers. Through a predictable mechanical process they can produce alkaline water.
I believe that this is the easiest, most fundamental way to heal yourself …. simply drink the water.
Ask me about some innovative ways to make this water available to you.
Alkalinity neutralizes acidity.
So the Alkaline minerals in Electronically Restructured Alkaline Water provide the necessary alkalinity for the body to effectively neutralize toxins – and this is the critical part – without taking it out of our organic mineral stores.
So, even though the minerals are inorganic in alkaline water, they serve a critical function by assisting the body in detoxifying itself of excess acid.
Another health benefit of Restructured Water is the imparted frequencies which are not in distilled water. These frequencies assist in acid displacement toward the elimination channels.
In addition, most Water Ionizers have excellent filtration, (remember, more is better) which reduces, or eliminates, contaminates originally found within the water.
Also, there are Alkaline Booster Drops available, which will markedly increase the pH of water it is added to. For those on a limited budget, this will help with drinking alkaline water; however any contaminates within the water are not removed. We encourage individuals to carry the Alkaline Booster Drops for the times you are running around (forget to take water with you), or traveling. It is a convenient way to make water alkaline when purchasing bottled water, or drinking tap water in restaurants or hotels.
